Environmental Assessment Pecten Funding's environmental assessment is a standardized process and, due to the requirements of the rating agencies and the Letter of Credit Agent, must be conducted on all sites offered as collateral. However, because Pecten Funding gives you credit for contributions you are eligible to receive from UST state trust funds, insurance policies, letters of credit, and other EPA financial assurance mechanisms. Pecten Funding may lend on sites with some contamination and those undergoing remediation. After the credit qualification, and in concurrence with the appraisal process, Pecten Funding will submit a Environmental Questionnaire(s) as part of your loan application package to a Pecten Funding approved environmental assessor for processing. The environmental assessor determines, based on its professional judgment, whether a specific property offered as collateral meets Pecten Funding's pre-specified environmental criteria. If the Collateral Site meets Pecten Funding's pre-specified environmental criteria (and other credit Application requirements are satisfied), the Pecten Funding Loan Application will be "qualified".
